“Ideas
That Work”, clever slogan? For Philip
Einsohn of Waterjet Works it’s more than a clever slogan, it’s his company’s
motto. Hundreds of companies own water
jet machines—few specialize in combining water jet cutting capabilities with a
designer’s eye and imagination. To see
an example of WJW’s work, go to www.armstrong.com/commflooringna/article796.html
where you will view the Juan Muñoz environmental artwork installed at the
Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, D.C. For more information go to www.waterjetworks.com

“RFCI wins
vinyl floor’s acceptance in New York State green buildings”. According to National Floor Trends Magazine,
the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) has succeeded in its fight to
have New York State recognize that vinyl floor products can be used in green
buildings eligible for a green tax credit. Jeff Golden, Publisher of National
Floor Trends, wrote in his editorial that the New York State Department of
Environmental Conservation (DEC) had proposed the prohibition of vinyl flooring
in buildings qualifying for a New York green tax credit. This is a major victory for resilient
manufacturers and sure to be a model for similar programs throughout the U.S. For additional information go to the “Editorial
Archives” section at www.ntlfloortrends.com
